Byzantine and Christian Museum
The Byzantine and Christian Museum of Athens was initially established in 1914 and was later expanded to its present feature in 2004. The Byzantine and Christian Museum contains a great variety of more than 30.000 exhibits. There the visitors will have to chance to see the most important treasures of the 1000 years old history of Byzantium Empire from paintings and icons to ceramics and mosaics. They will also have detailed information about the art , music, beliefs and traditions of the citizens of this Empire and actually learn everything about the most famous Empires of the world.
During their visit to this specific museum they will realise the influences of the Orthodox belief in the history of Byzantium Empire.
